Bakers, Sellers, and Donated Goodies Needed for Election Day Bake Sale!
YCS will be serving as an election site Tuesday, November 7th and will host voters from our local community. This is a great opportunity to sell baked goods and other snack items to people waiting in line to cast their ballots, with all proceeds going back to our school! Please drop off your items at the PTA office by Tuesday, Nov. 6th. Please note fresh items should be individually wrapped.

YCS Movie Night!
YCS Movie Night is almost here! The 2nd Grade has voted, and this year we will be featuring The Emoji Movie! Wear your favorite PJs and grab your pillows, blankets and besties for the best pizza party in town! Tickets are $5 per person and adults must accompany children (all family members will need an entry ticket) Space is limited so be on the lookout for the RSVP form coming home with your child soon! We will also need volunteers! If you are interested in helping with movie night, please email lili.lampsona@yorkvillecommunityschool.org

Donate Your Leftover Halloween Candy!

Looking for something to do with all of those Halloween treats? YCS will take your unwanted candy and donate it to good causes, like Operation Gratitude, which sends care packages to US Troops, Veterans, Wounded Warriors and Military Children. What a “sweet” way for kids to help others! All donations can be placed in the blue bins found in the lobbies, starting Wednesday morning.

YCS Shout Outs!

Picture Day! Thank you to all the volunteers who straightened hair and smoothed outfits on picture day – Cynthia Alder, Paula Grady, Mary Healy, Nancy Mark, Christina Hernandez, Jessica Couch, and everyone else who pitched in!

Fall Festival! Many thanks to everyone who made the YCS Fall Festival this weekend such a fabulous event (including Mother Nature)! From the maze to the bouncy castles, the student lead games, yoga, face painting, the ably staffed grill and the best it was a wonderful day and fun was had by all! We’d especially like to thank the event chairs, Victoria Brannigan and Kate Hrobsky, and the Craft and Game chairs, Kaena Clark and Allison Gutstein, as well as our many underwriters, community partners and sponsors, and close to 100 parent volunteers. Our YCS village came through to make this Fall Festival the best one yet! And a particular special thanks to Mr. Jonathan who was the star of the day!
