9/13 – New York State Election Voting @ YCS
9/13 – After School Programs Fall Semester begins (Big Apple Sports, Wingspan, 92nd Street Y, Chess)
9/14 – PTA Social (Adults Only) 6:30-8:30pm
9/16 – Popcorn Friday (Send your child to school with $1 to purchase an after school snack!)
 9/22 – Curriculum Night and Adult Fall Book Fair Shop, 5-7pm (Adults Only)
New York State Election Primaries – Sept.13
On Tuesday, September 13, New York primary election voting will take place at YCS.  As this means there will be more people than usual at the school, we ask that you please review and adhere to the Arrival and Dismissal policies POSTED HERE.
PTA Social Event (Adults Only) – Sept. 14, 6:30-8:30pm
Please join Founding Principal Samantha Kaplan and members of the YCS Executive PTA for refreshments and snacks this Wednesday, September 14th from 6:30-8:30pm in the West Yard of the school.  In addition to meeting other members of our community, we will have representatives from our in-class enrichment programs explain how their programs complement the YCS curriculum. No RSVP is required.
Curriculum Night and Fall Book Fair – Sept. 22, 5-7pm
Curriculum Night is an opportunity for you to visit your child’s classroom and learn about our school curriculum, daily routines, and enrichment programs. During this time, parents and guardians are also invited to stop by the Book Fair in the Cafeteria to shop for books.  Additional details to follow.
Book Fair Volunteers Urgently Needed

NYC DOE Free Lunch Program
Please note that ALL parents must fill out the Free Lunch Program application in order for YCS to receive the appropriate allocation of federal Title 1 dollars and to determine the eligibility of children for certain rights and services under the No Child Left Behind Act.  CLICK HERE to complete the form online
We’d like to give a big YCS “Shout Out” to 5th Grade Mom Lauren Blair for putting together our awesome YCS calendar for the 2016 – 2017 school year!  Come by the PTA office if you didn’t get one sent home with your child.
